There are different studies that have measured the time we take choosing a mattress, and there are even forums specialising in mattresses. This interest does not surprise us, considering we spend a lot of time in bed. What might surprise us a little is the short time and details dedicated to the other layers in contact with our skin and that have the same level of use as the mattress. It is important to choose the cover or protector we use carefully, and very important choosing the sheets or undersheet we place, which are in contact with our body almost 8 hours a day.
When we go and buy bed linen or duvet cover, our attention is focused on the material (100% polyester microfiber, mixture of polyester and cotton, 100% cotton, and more exclusive one, Tencel, bamboo and linen), but in contrast more than often we don’t think about the sheet being tight-fitting so that it doesn’t wrinkle up and make us uncomfortable when sleeping, or too tight so that it comes off if we move, or wide enough sheets so that when we move we don’t end up half uncovered, or long enough to fold over to our comfort, or that the pillowcase don’t move or is too difficult to put on the cushion. Every bed and every person requires a size that adapts to their way of sleeping, since wellbeing has many facets
